The Whitney Study Zone is a low-distraction quiet study space within the Whitney Building. Study Zone Leaders provide support to students using the space in the form of goal setting before and debriefing after each study zone session.
Duties include:
Oversee the Whitney Study Zone.
Assist students with goal settings and debriefs for each study session.
Connect students with campus resources as needed.
Other tasks as assigned by the work study supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Must have a valid FAFSA on file
Must have a financial need, as demonstrated by the FAFSA
Must be matriculated into a program
Attending at least half-time (6 credit hours)
Maintain satisfactory progress (SAP) towards the completion of their program
Successfully completed at least twelve (12) credit hours at OCC.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Excellent customer service skills
Familiar with D2L Brightspace, OCC e-mail, Microsoft Office
Willingness to learn new technology
Dependable
Additional Information:
Pay Rate: Starting rate of $15.50 for new Federal Work Studies.
Starting rate of $16.75 for returning Federal Work Studies
Hours of Operations: Monday-Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm
