Broad Function: The Assistant Director/Project Coordinator for Semiconductor Pathways serves a key leadership role and manages a regional, grant-funded project to build short-term training programs aimed at creating pathways into the semiconductor industry. This role will focus on collaborating with employers, community colleges, faculty, and other stakeholders to design, execute, and sustain programs that align with industry needs. The Assistant Director/ Project Coordinator will manage the Semiconductor Pathway Development Initiative and work to ensure the sustainability of the program within the college.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and support the Semiconductor Pathway Development project ensuring it runs smoothly, meets deadlines, and achieves outcomes.
Collaborate with employers and community college partners to create and refine short-term training programs that lead to career pathways in the semiconductor and related industries.
Coordinate with community college partners, industry partners, staff, and faculty to align training programs with workforce needs and industry standards.
Engage with employers to gather insights, secure partnerships, and ensure that programs are informed by and reflect industry demand.
Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders on program progress, outcomes, and areas for improvement.
Support students and instructors in short-term training programs by providing administrative support for programs including bootcamps, micro credentials, pre-apprenticeship, and apprenticeship training.
Coordinate and plan outreach and recruitment events and participate in externally developed opportunities to promote Semiconductor and related manufacturing career pathways.
Assist the Director of Industry Partnerships in regular, on-going engagement with semiconductor and related manufacturing employers to determine training needs and employee enrichment opportunities for sustainability of the project.
Under the direction of the Director of Industry Partnerships, perform all required grant reporting.
Collaborate with other College offices to promote the opportunities, resources and offerings available to assist students in a career pathway.
Perform other duties and special assignments as requested.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIOS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, university or foreign equivalency plus two years of relevant professional experience including project management, or
Six years of project management, workforce development or other relevant professional experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience coordinating training programs.
Experience teaching in an educational or corporate setting.
Familiarity with semiconductor industry and related career pathways.
Experience working with community colleges.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong ability to engage with employers and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and partners.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation.

Additional Information:
Salary range is: $53,240 - $66,500 commensurate with credentials and relevant experience.
