Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food and beverages with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and process transactions efficiently with POS systems, including cash handling and math calculations.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through effective suggestive selling techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, bus tables as needed, and ensure sanitation standards are met according to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation times and ensure timely service in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with reservations using OpenTable or similar platforms to manage guest seating efficiently.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing concerns promptly and fostering positive guest relations in both casual and fine dining settings.
- Support team members during busy hours by bussing tables, resetting tables quickly, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations management.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Demonstrated ability in food handling, sanitation, and adhering to food safety standards.
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding food preparation processes.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining quality service.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and upselling opportunities.
- Familiarity with serving techniques like upselling menu items and guest relations strategies to enhance the dining experience.
