Location: Diamond Bar, CA (100% on-Site)

Business Hours: Mon- Fri, 9am – 6pm

Job Overview:

Ono Hawaiian BBQ is seeking a skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team. As a Payroll Clerk, your primary responsibility will be to efficiently process weekly payroll and ensure accurate maintenance of employee time records. We are looking for a talented individual who can contribute to our winning team and are eager to advance their career. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Update, maintain, and process changes in the payroll system, including employee compensation details, time worked, paid and unpaid time off and other relevant data.
• Communicate with District Managers related to store employees’ time clock correction, time off requests, timesheet approvals and issues with payroll proactively.
• Process Food Handler Course Reimbursements, Mileage Reimbursements, Expense Reimbursements.
• Review payroll deductions for taxes, benefits and garnishments.
• Reconcile payroll amounts using pay register, payroll summary and payroll earnings history reports.
• Process final paycheck and exit document for terminations, coordinating with HR on the final calculations for items that needed to be included in the final check. Perform calculations for pay discrepancies and errors.
• Save all documents for manual checks, time off requests, weekly schedules, etc.
• Calculate each store’s labor cost and labor credit adjustment for training purposes.
• Place stop payment for lost checks and reissue replacement checks.
• Process store level employees’ location transfer request.
• Assist employees and managers with payroll questions such as direct deposits, Dayforce Wallet.
• Send out pay summary reports and declaration forms for each store location to District Managers.
• Scan pay summaries, declarations forms, termination forms and final pay acknowledgement forms.
• Download and save payroll reports after payroll submission.
• Carry out additional assigned duties as required to support payroll operations effectively.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience in payroll processing, data entry.
• Proficiency in using Ceridian Dayforce and/or ADP Workforce Now.
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (PivotTable, Vlookup, Xlookup).
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new payroll software.
• Multi-state Payroll experience (CA, AZ, TX)
• Experience with the bi-weekly payroll cycle for exempt and nonexempt employees.
• Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred but not required.
