What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interior Design Intern position at Onni Group?
Step into the world of Commercial Interior Design as our Part-Time Intern! From field verification to crafting marketing materials, be part of shaping the dynamic commercial spaces in Chicago. Join us for a summer of hands-on experience and collaboration. Work with a diverse and creative team, dedicated to excellence in design and innovative problem-solving.
What you will do:
- Conduct on-site field verification of existing vacant spaces to ensure accuracy of as-builts
- Verify existing conditions of commercial interior spaces including but not limited to electrical, lighting, and finishes
- Create marketing materials for all vacant suites for Onni’s website, broker usage, and brochures.
- Assist Leasing department with verifying accuracy of marketing materials on-site
- Verifying furniture types, quantities, and quality
- Updating our bulk inventories and allocating to buildings per signed lease agreements.
- Take field measurements
- Stage spec suites to ready them for leasing tours and professional photographs.
- Assist in closing out punch lists for various tenants throughout the Chicago commercial portfolio
- Perform misc. tasks as provided by Interior Designer
What you'll bring:
- Currently completing or completed Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of LEED certification
- Basic understanding of the construction process and ability to interpret construction documents
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- General knowledge of the marketing process for real estate projects such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and HTML coding.
- Exercise extreme attention to detail with strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
- Ability to effectively communicate with project team members or departments
- Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision at times
- Completion of pre-hire AutoCAD ability test
- Must have a car and be willing to drive to and from vendors and job-sites as needed
