POSITION: Building Substitute Teachers
OPEN POSITIONS: Elementary Schools and Secondary Schools
QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred: Candidates hold a valid New York State, New Jersey, or
Connecticut Teaching Certification.
Required: Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.

EFFECTIVE DATES: February 2026 - June 30, 2026 and September 1, 2026 - June 30,
2027 School Years
WORK SCHEDULE: Permanent Substitute Teachers: Work Five (5) days/week and Seven (7) Hours a Day in a Specific School Building
Per Diem Substitute Teachers: Work up to Five (5) days a week and Seven (7) Hours a Day in Different School Buildings Depending Upon the Day's Need
LOCATION: District Wide
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
CLOSING DATE: Continuous Recruitment
SALARY:
Permanent (Certified) Substitute Teacher -$175 Per Day
Permanent (Non- Certified) Substitute Teacher -$140 Per Day
Certified Leave Replacement with Bachelor’s Degree -$275 Per Day
Certified Leave Replacement with Master’s Degree -$350 Per Day
