About The Role
We have a Family App that is a Shared Life Operating System, an iOS app helping households coordinate planning, meals, tasks, memories, and milestones in one shared hub. We're in final pre-launch preparation and looking for a reliable, detail-oriented designer to take over recurring social media content execution and publishing from our existing templates and content calendar.
This is not a strategy or growth role. We already have the brand templates, content calendar, and brand voice guidelines built. We need someone who can execute against them consistently, accurately, and on schedule.
Core Responsibilities
Design execution: Populate existing Canva/Figma templates with new content (text, images, branding) for each scheduled post, following our content calendar.
Video editing: Edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks) from raw footage and/or approved animation scripts, following our brand templates and style. This includes basic cuts, captions, music/sound syncing, and export formatting for each platform.
Scheduling and publishing: Post approved content (both static designs and video) to FamOnea's social channels (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) on the agreed cadence, using our scheduling tools.
Quality control: Catch your own errors before posting — typos, off-brand phrasing, incorrect template usage, broken links.
Light reporting: Confirm what was posted each week against the calendar; flag anything that couldn't be completed and why.
Stretch Responsibility (Not Required to Start)
Post idea pitches: Once you're fully ramped up on our brand voice and templates, you may be invited to suggest post ideas within our five content pillars. All ideas go through founder approval before moving to design — this is a growth-track add-on, not a core requirement of the role.
What This Role Is NOT
This is not a content strategy or growth marketing role.
You will not be expected to originate campaign direction, brand voice, or messaging strategy.
You will be working from clear, pre-built source materials — your job is precise, reliable execution.
Requirements
Strong working knowledge of Canva and/or Figma — must be able to work within existing templates, not just design from scratch.
Working knowledge of a video editing tool (CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar) — comfortable cutting short-form video, adding captions/text overlays, and syncing music/sound for Reels and TikToks.
Demonstrated experience managing recurring social media posting schedules (Instagram and TikTok required; other platforms a plus).
Strong written English for reading briefs and brand guidelines accurately (copy will typically be provided, not originated).
Reliable, proactive communicator — flags blockers or questions before deadlines, not after.
Available for an estimated 8–12 hours/week, with potential to grow.
Nice to Have
Experience working from a brand style guide with strict tone-of-voice rules.
Familiarity with scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Later, Buffer, etc.).
How We Work
You'll receive our existing template pack, dated content calendar, and brand voice guide on day one.
All content briefs and source assets will be provided — your job is execution, not origination.
We value precision and proactive communication over speed. If something is unclear or blocked, we want to know early, not after a deadline passes.
Compensation
$4–7/hr, paid weekly/biweekly.
Rate within this range will be set based on the quality and speed of your work in the paid test task.
Paid Test Task (Required Before Hire)
Before final hire, candidates will complete a short paid test assignment:
We provide one existing template one calendar entry (with brief and copy) for a static post, plus one short raw video clip or approved animation script.
Candidate executes 2–3 static social posts from the template, and edits the video clip into one finished short-form video (captions, basic cuts, music sync).
Candidate schedules/mocks the posting workflow for both formats (screen recording or walkthrough if full posting access isn't yet granted).
This is paid at the agreed hourly rate and used to confirm fit before committing to ongoing weekly hours.
