Operations Specialist

Online Transport is seeking an organized and highly motivated 2nd Shift Operations Specialist who is looking for an opportunity for growth within a growing company. As an Operations Specialist, you will have accountability for leading drivers to deliver a best-in-class experience for our customers and drivers.

Job duties:

• Develop solutions that maximize driver efficiency and best in class service- when applicable.
• Communicate with customers regarding pickups, deliveries, issues, and concerns. Develop counter measures to provide best in class service.
• Work on site at customer location to understand supply chain needs.
• Manage cost functions to deliver best in class results across Fleet.
• Collaborate with other divisions to provide solutions for customers.
• Develop efficient routes to ensure that deliveries are made in a timely fashion.
• Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might have.
• Monitor road conditions, construction zones, and accidents to revise routes as needed.
• Update customers on the status of their deliveries including any delays that occur.
• Answer calls from delivery drivers and relay any emergencies they have to the appropriate channels.
• Coordinate breakdown calls to the appropriate and monitor for communication purposes
• Other duties as requested

Job Requirements:

• Experience in the trucking industry dispatching and/or driver management is required.
• Great attitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• TMW knowledge is preferred
• Samsara knowledge is preferred
• Good understanding of FMCSR's (Hours of Service and Axle Weight & Spacing).
• Ability to work independently is a must
• Must be exceptional with driver and customer relations
• Ability to efficiently use Windows and Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
