We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Tax Specialist to oversee financial reporting, manage corporate tax compliance, and ensure our financial documentation meets all legal and regulatory standards. In this role, you will prepare core financial statements, validate tax calculations, and partner with leadership to sign off on financial disclosures.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Statements: Prepare and validate key financial documents, including balance sheets, income statements, and accounting annexes. Co-sign financial statements alongside the Board of Directors.
- Tax Calculation & Compliance: Calculate, validate, and ensure accurate preparation of all corporate tax obligations. Implement legislative and regulatory changes affecting accounting and tax functions.
- Audits & External Entities: Prepare required documentation for external tax entities, regulatory bodies, and independent auditors.
- Compliance & Archiving: Maintain compliant archives of all accounting and tax documentation in accordance with legal and corporate requirements.
- Education & Credentials: University degree in Accounting, Management, Finance, or a related field. Certified Accountant designation (or equivalent local accounting certification) required.
- Technical Standards: Solid working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Tax Expertise: Hands-on experience calculating, preparing, and validating tax filings and obligations.
- Software & Systems: Proficient with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
- Core Competencies: Strong critical analysis skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a multi-tasking mindset.
- Previous accounting and tax experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Background in preparing comprehensive financial statements and executive management reporting.
- Fluency in English (if not native language).
