One part-time (0.50 FTE, 20 hours/week) | Mostly Remote, required to be on-site on a rotating schedule, approximately one day every 3 weeks and for meetings/trainings | Applicants must reside in the Omaha Metro area to be considered for this role Job Duties The Registered Nurse works under the general supervision of the Triage Nurse Manager and is responsible for the nursing practices, policies, and procedures of the OneWorld Community Health Centers. Supervision of Health Assistants and Medical Assistants may be required. They work primarily from home, but report to work in the clinic on a rotating basis.
- Provides nursing care within the Registered Nurse scope of practice.
- Assists providers in healthcare activities, performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures, and the administration of medications as necessary.
- Assists in completing medication refills, providing instructions to patients, making appointments, relaying patients’ requests and questions to the appropriate provider and following up with provider’s directives, assisting with the completion of paperwork, providing phone and walk-in triage, and determining patient disposition based on established triage protocols.
- Ensures prompt telephonic response to patient calls.
