Position Summary
The Talent Specialist is responsible for executing high-quality, high-volume recruiting activities to support OneWell Health Care’s growth across multiple states. This role focuses on sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for clinical, direct care, and administrative positions while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with organizational values.
Position Scope
This position supports full-cycle recruiting for multi-state hiring operations and works closely with HR leadership, hiring managers, and operations teams. The Talent Specialist manages multiple requisitions simultaneously and plays a key role in building and maintaining strong talent pipelines to meet ongoing and anticipated workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting and Sourcing
Source candidates using job boards, social platforms, referrals, career fairs, and community outreach
Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for ongoing and anticipated hiring needs
Conduct proactive outreach to passive candidates
Screening and Interviewing
Review applications and conduct initial phone/video screenings
Assess candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit
Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers
Hiring and Offer Management
Support offer preparation, extensions, and negotiations
Coordinate pre-employment requirements (background checks, credential verification, drug screens)
Partner with HR and onboarding teams to ensure smooth candidate transitions
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure hiring practices comply with federal, state, and local employment regulations
Maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Support audits and reporting related to hiring compliance
Collaboration and Communication
Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process
Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and hiring priorities
Provide regular hiring updates and pipeline reports to leadership
Secondary Duties
Assist with recruitment initiatives, hiring campaigns, and process improvements
Support audits, reporting, and compliance reviews related to hiring
Participate in job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach activities
Perform other duties as assigned to support HR and organizational needs
Tasks

The Talent Specialist exercises independent judgment in candidate screening, sourcing strategies, and recruitment prioritization, within established HR policies and under the guidance of HR leadership.
Regulatory Frameworks
This role operates in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to EEO, FLSA, background check requirements, and healthcare-related hiring and credentialing standards.
Confidentiality
The Talent Specialist is required to maintain strict confidentiality of all candidate, employee, and organizational information, including personal data, hiring decisions, and internal communications, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
Documentation Requirements
Accurate and timely entry of candidate and hiring data into ATS and HR systems
Completion and maintenance of required hiring, compliance, and audit documentation
Proper handling and storage of confidential records
Certifications
Relevant Human Resources or recruiting certifications are preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience required
Experience recruiting in healthcare, IDD, HCBS, home care, or related fields preferred
Multi-state and/or high-volume recruiting experience preferred
Technical Skills
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment tools
Strong sourcing techniques across multiple platforms
Ability to generate hiring reports and track recruitment metrics
Proficient in Microsoft Office and related business systems
Languages
English is required. Bilingual skills are a plus.
Driver License
A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
Travel Requirement
Minimal travel may be required for job fairs, hiring events, or team meetings, as business needs dictate.
