Position Title: Director, Implementation
The Director of Implementation, reporting to the VP of Client Solutions, is responsible for leading the onboarding and implementation of clients across both medical (TPA) and pharmacy (RX) services.
This role ensures a seamless, accurate, and efficient implementation experience that sets the foundation for long-term client success. The Director will establish scalable processes, drive cross-functional alignment, and lead a high-performing team to deliver consistent, high-quality implementations in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end client onboarding and implementation across TPA and RX, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
- Establish and maintain standardized implementation processes to support scalability and consistency.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables across multiple implementations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Sales, Account Management, Operations, Clinical, IT) to ensure alignment and readiness for go-live.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Monitor performance metrics, timelines, and deliverables to ensure accountability and transparency.
- Evaluate and improve workflows, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and visibility.
- Lead post-implementation reviews to identify improvement opportunities and strengthen future implementations.
- Support a smooth transition from implementation to ongoing account management.
- Build and develop a high-performing implementation team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience in implementation, onboarding, or project management within healthcare, TPA, PBM, or a related environment
- Experience leading teams and managing complex, cross-functional projects
- Knowledge of eligibility, benefits configuration, or claims processes
- Proven ability to manage timelines, risks, and dependencies
- Experience improving processes or building structure in a growing or evolving organization
- Ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment
Preferred
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Experience implementing new systems, tools, or operational frameworks
- Experience with implementation tools and project tracking systems
- Exposure to EDI processes, file feeds, and integrations
- Experience standardizing implementation workflows across organizations
