JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE:
We are looking for a member of our management team as the Controller, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, who will be providing direction, guidance and control over the accounting dept. Creates and implements policies and procedures to ensure process efficiencies. Along with the CFO, anticipates industry trend challenges and proactively mitigates risk. Ensuring a sustainable growth strategy for the organization while managing the budgets, financial reporting systems and integration within operations of the business. In addition, the Controller will improve efficiency, standardization, and quality and operation agility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
- Preparation of budgets and month-end reports.
- Monitor payables and receivables, payroll and general ledger transactions.
- Manage special projects
- Recommend schedule for expenditures.
- Analyze budget variances and initiate corrective action.
- Ensure company complies with federal, state and local legal requirements.
- Study new and existing legislation, and anticipate future legislation.
- Provide information to external auditors.
- Develop our talent. Assess our current accounting team and define our talent gaps and needs moving forward. Build and develop our talent to become our future leaders. Implement a cross-training program to increase employee engagement and retention
- Review and assess our current financial performance. Provide proactive guidance and solutions to the executive team and organization based on thorough analysis aimed at identifying our organization’s risks.
