Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Supervise and support rehabilitation staff, including Physical Therapists (PT), Occupational Therapists (OT), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), and therapy assistants.
- Schedule and assign caseloads to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, training, and mentorship to staff.
- Program Development & Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and monitor therapy programs that meet patient needs and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for therapy services in accordance with payer and regulatory guidelines.
- Financial & Operational Management:
- Manage the department’s budget, monitor expenses, and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Analyze productivity reports and ensure therapy department meets financial and clinical goals.
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to facility growth initiatives.
- Patient Care & Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the delivery of patient-centered care with a focus on achieving optimal functional outcomes.
- Ensure accurate and timely evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Monitor quality indicators and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration:
- Work closely with nursing, social services, and other departments to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and provide input on patient care plans.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid license as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), assisted living, or rehab setting.
- Prior management or leadership experience in a rehab setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and documentation requirements.
