Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join OneStep Clinic, an outpatient psychiatric practice providing medication management and supportive mental health care. In this role, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based psychiatric care to patients in an outpatient setting.
Providers may see patients through telehealth, hybrid, or in-person visits, depending on scheduling and preference. The patient population consists primarily of stable outpatient cases, with more complex cases managed by senior providers within the practice.
This position offers an opportunity to practice in a supportive outpatient environment with flexible scheduling and clinical autonomy while contributing to high-quality mental health care.
Expected Pay Range: $90 – $115 per hour
Job Type: Contract (1099)
Schedule: Flexible (evenings and weekends available)
Duties
- Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care for patients receiving outpatient psychiatric treatment
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications in accordance with evidence-based psychopharmacology practices.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide patient education regarding medications, treatment options, and mental health management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with other clinicians when appropriate to support coordinated patient care.
- Provide care through both in-person and telehealth appointments depending on patient needs and scheduling.
- Adhere to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards in psychiatric practice and patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Active New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license with prescriptive authority.
- Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain DEA registration.
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered psychiatric care.
