As our Lead Water Remediation Technician, you'll manage water damage projects from emergency response through completion while developing a crew of mitigation technicians. You'll engineer drying solutions, handle complex Category 2-3 losses, and deliver exceptional customer experiences during people's most stressful moments.
What we need: IICRC WRT certification, 3-6 years with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with moisture mapping and documentation technology. ASD/AMRT certifications strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:
What You'll Do Daily
As our Lead Water Remediation Technician, you'll manage 3-5 concurrent water damage projects while developing the next generation of mitigation professionals:
- Lead emergency response through completion – Own water-damage jobs from initial call to final dry-out sign-off
- Engineer drying solutions – Develop site-specific drying strategies that meet or exceed IICRC standards
- Build your team – Train and mentor 2-4 mitigation technicians in technical skills and customer service excellence
- Handle complex conditions – Perform selective demo, establish containment, and manage microbial/Category 2-3 water losses
- Deliver an experience – Create confident, informed customers during their most stressful moments
- Document with precision – Maintain professional moisture mapping, photo documentation, and digital project records
- Champion jobsite safety – Ensure full compliance with WA L&I/WISHA regulations and company safety protocols
- Be there when it matters – Participate in after-hours on-call rotation (approximately 1 week per month with premium pay)
Physical Reality: This role requires lifting 50 lbs regularly, working in confined spaces, and exposure to water-damaged environments. Average workweek is 40 hours plus on-call responsibilities.

What Makes You Our Top Candidate
Required:
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification – current and in good standing
- 3-6 years of hands-on restoration experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities
- Communication excellence – You can explain complex mitigation concepts to worried property owners and coach technicians with equal skill
- Technical proficiency – Comfortable with digital moisture mapping, 360° cameras, and mitigation documentation software
- Documentation skills – Experience with detailed project notes, daily logs, and moisture tracking
- Valid driver's license – Clean driving record required (extensive daily travel throughout Puget Sound region)
Strongly Preferred:
- IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD) and/or Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
- Xactimate estimating experience (or strong aptitude to learn quickly)
- OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Construction certification
- EPA RRP and/or WA State Asbestos Awareness certifications
