Job Summary : Custom Modular home Builder is seeking : A Service Manager responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction by overseeing and managing the service department's operations. This role ensures all claims are handled efficiently and accurately while maintaining compliance with company policies and budget parameters. The Service Manager must also effectively communicate with the builder network and supervise service technicians operating across various job sites.
Duties and Responsibilities :

Ensure that all claims are corrected in a safe and timely manner.
Ensure that the Service Department performs in accordance with budget parameters.
Answer all communication professionally and in a timely manner.
Research all warranty claims for validity.
Process all claims received by Service Department from the Builder Network via fax, phone, text message, and e-mail.
Create service work orders and parts orders.
Report claims to support departments to provide a plan for continuous improvement.
Effectively communicate the determination of claims to the builder :
If the claim is valid, order parts and schedule service.
If the claim is not valid, issue a written denial to the Builder.
Order all service parts through the Purchasing Department.
Schedule all service claims appropriately according to parts arrival date and geographic location of the job site.
Perform a walkthrough on units before shipment to ensure quality.
Monitor and approve expense reports.
Monitor and approve time cards for Service Technicians.
Ensure company vehicles are maintained properly and comply with D.O.T. requirements.
Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment.
Follow the Company’s Safety Policies and Procedures, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Follow the Company’s policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies / Skills :
Strong ability to communicate effectively with the builder network.
Familiarity with modular construction methods and code requirements.
Demonstrated professional and ethical conduct.
Ability to communicate respectfully with co-workers and Management Staff.
Supervisory Responsibility :
Responsible for managing multiple Service Field Technicians across various job sites on the East Coast.
Work Environment :
This job operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands :
The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk.
Occasional loading of building materials into modular home units may be required.
Expected Hours of Work & Salary :
Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.
May require extended workdays as needed.

Travel :
This position may require travel, including extended stays away from home.
Required Education and Certifications :
Associate degree or equivalent experience.
Experience :
Experience in general office practices.
Experience in modular home construction.
