Role Description The Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Dalton, GA, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial management and accounting operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the general ledger, supervising accounts payable and receivable, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting. The Controller will monitor cash flow, manage payroll processes, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and support compliance with applicable regulations and standards. The role also involves partnering with leadership to provide financial analysis and insights, supporting audits, optimizing financial systems and processes, and guiding the accounting team in delivering timely, accurate financial information. This is an in-office 5 day a week job.
Qualifications
- Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including general ledger management, month-end close, and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of internal controls, compliance, and audit practices, with the ability to implement and maintain robust financial processes.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, along with solid Excel and data analysis capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including mentoring staff and collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
- Relevant experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar senior accounting role, ideally within manufacturing, printing, or related industries.
