Job Description
In this hands-on role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams and plant leadership to drive a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture while ensuring compliance with internal and external safety standards.This is an onsite role reporting directly to the Site HSE Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support HSE programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular HSE audits and field assessments
- Assist in developing and delivering employee HSE training
- Champion Honeywell's Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) Program
- Drive continuous improvement using tools like Gemba walks, standard work, and visual management
- Promote positive safety behaviors and hazard recognition at all levels of the plant
- Collaborate with teams to embed HSE into daily operations
Qualifications:
YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum 1 year of Health and Safety experience
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field OR Equivalent work experience.
WE VALUE
- Experience with environmental regulations (RCRA, EPA, DEQ, DOT)
- Safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, RSO)
- Experience in manufacturing or chemical processing environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory frameworks
- Proven ability to influence safety culture and employee engagement
