Position Summary

OneSource EHS is seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support a diverse portfolio of industrial and commercial clients. This role is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and management of environmental, health, and safety programs that ensure regulatory compliance and promote a proactive safety culture.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, incident investigation methodologies, and workplace safety practices. This position involves a combination of fieldwork, client interaction, compliance support, auditing, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental Compliance

  • Support environmental compliance programs involving air, water, and waste management requirements.
  • Assist with environmental permitting, regulatory reporting, and documentation.
  • Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Perform environmental sampling activities and evaluate results in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support clients in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Health & Safety Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct workplace safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
  • Identify safety risks and recommend practical corrective actions to reduce exposure and improve performance.
  • Support industrial hygiene activities, including air monitoring, noise monitoring, and exposure assessments.
  • Assist with turnaround, outage, and special project safety support as needed.

Incident Investigation & Training

  • Lead or participate in incident investigations, near-miss reviews, and root cause analyses.
  • Develop and track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
  • Deliver EHS training programs, including OSHA-related topics, hazard communication, emergency response, and safe work practices.
  • Promote employee engagement and continuous improvement through safety initiatives and awareness programs.

Client Support & Reporting

  • Serve as a trusted resource for clients on EHS compliance and best practices.
  • Prepare professional reports, assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain training records, inspection reports, investigation records, and regulatory files.
  • Analyze EHS performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution and regulatory compliance.

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, chemical, energy, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local regulations.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Experience performing audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed.

Preferred

  • 7 years of progressive EHS experience.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Safety Management Specialist (SMS), or environmental certification.
  • OSHA 30-Hour or OSHA 500 certification.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Experience with environmental permitting, regulatory reporting, and compliance management systems.
  • Industrial Hygiene coursework or practical IH monitoring experience.

Pay: $45.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
