Job Title: School Cleaner / Day Porter

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary: OneService is seeking a dedicated and reliable School Cleaner/Day Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff. This role focuses on active building maintenance throughout the school day, ensuring high-traffic areas are addressed promptly and facilities remain sanitary.

Key Responsibilities

• Restroom Maintenance: Monitor and maintain student and staff lavatories, including frequent restocking of supplies and sanitization of surfaces.
• Facility Upkeep: Perform routine cleaning of hallways, entrances, common areas, and multipurpose spaces throughout the day.
• Response & Support: Address spills, accidents, and unexpected cleaning needs immediately to ensure a safe environment.
• Waste Management: Empty trash and recycling containers as required.
• High-Touch Sanitation: Regularly clean and disinfect high-traffic touchpoints (door handles, railings, etc.) to support health and safety standards.
• Administrative Support: Assist school administration with reasonable, routine cleaning requests as needed.
• Communication: Report any maintenance conditions, safety concerns, or facility issues to management promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning, custodial, or janitorial role (school experience is a plus).
• Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor in an educational environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to facility maintenance.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background check as a condition of employment.
