OneSearch Group, in partnership with a leading Financial Institution, is seeking an experienced VP, Middle Market Relationship Manager to join their expanding Corporate Banking platform based in Miami, FL. This role is central to driving local origination efforts across the middle market segment, with responsibility for building and deepening client relationships through a comprehensive suite of banking solutions including lending, deposits, treasury, and other ancillary products. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an established presence in the Florida market and a track record of growing a middle market banking portfolio.
Essential Functions
Business Development & Origination
- Build and maintain deep, long-term relationships with middle market and large corporate clients, private equity firms, and family offices by consistently delivering strategic insights, proactive outreach, and a client-first approach that goes beyond traditional banking.
- Develop and execute a strategic calling plan to identify, prospect, and acquire new client relationships.
- Leverage existing centers of influence, referral networks, and market knowledge to generate a consistent pipeline of new opportunities.
- Drive cross-sell of the full banking platform including credit facilities, deposit solutions, treasury management, and other fee-based products.
Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of middle market clients, owning the overall relationship and day-to-day banking experience.
- Proactively manage and deepen existing relationships to maximize client retention and wallet share.
- Facilitate client discussions around evolving financial needs, positioning the bank as a strategic long-term partner.
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and business reviews to maintain strong engagement and identify growth opportunities.
Credit & Structuring
- Collaborate with Credit Analysts and Portfolio Management to underwrite, structure, and present credit requests for new and existing clients.
- Demonstrate sound credit judgment, with the ability to assess risk and structure appropriate facilities across working capital, term loans, and other credit products.
- Support the loan closing process, ensuring timely coordination with internal teams, counsel, and external stakeholders.
Portfolio & Risk Management
- Monitor assigned portfolio for credit quality, covenant compliance, and early warning signals.
- Partner with Portfolio Management on periodic reviews, amendments, waivers, and renewals.
- Ensure adherence to credit policies, underwriting standards, and internal and regulatory requirements.
Internal Collaboration & Strategic Contribution
- Collaborate closely with Corporate Banking leadership, Treasury Management, and other product partners to deliver integrated solutions.
- Participate in pipeline and credit committee meetings, providing market insights and portfolio perspective.
- Contribute to the development of the team’s middle market strategy and help build out the Florida franchise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in commercial or corporate banking, with a deep understanding of middle market credit, financial analysis, and deal structuring.
- Established presence and network in the Florida business community strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial credit products, deposit solutions, and treasury management.
- Experience working within a multi-product banking platform with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and compliance.
