Student Support Assistant / Nursing Aid

Join our Council Bluffs as a Student Support Assistant / Nursing Aid! You’ll play a key role in providing academic and behavioural support for multiple students.

Responsibilities

• May be required to teach directed studies courses such as English and Math curricula as developed by a certified teacher
• Collaborate with the local team to address the student's needs and support inclusive instruction
• Maintain accurate records of student's progress and activities.

About You

To be considered for this position you must have:

• You must be living in the USA and authorized to work here.
• College diploma RPN or similar; additional coursework in education, special education would be an asset but not required.
• Experience working with students who utilize a wheelchair or other mobility devices preferred.
• Training and experience in catheterization, feeding and mobility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and transferring.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the student's educational and personal development.
