Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional services. Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and treatment areas in accordance with aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Utilize a 3D scanner for capturing accurate dental impressions when necessary.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems, including Eaglesoft.
- Support front office operations as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
- Demonstrate knowledge of dental anatomy to assist in treatment planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Proficient in using dental software systems; experience with Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification as a Dental Assistant or equivalent training is preferred but not required.
