Plant Operator

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our plant, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.

Duties

· Implement and control the production schedule

· Manage human and material resources to meet production targets

· Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement

· Implement standard operating procedures for production operations

· Responsible for the overall performance of plant equipment and routine maintenance

· Diagnosing the source of a problem and perform necessary repairs

· Enforce policies for plant inspection

· Monitor the performance of staff and implement improvements when necessary

· Complete productions orders and required paperwork

· Process daily reports and maintain production files

· Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the production facility

· Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments

Basic Qualifications

· Effective oral and written communications in English.

· Ability to apply common sense and understanding to written or oral instructions.

· Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables

· Ability to read and understand schematics

· Electrical skills with low and high voltage componentry

· Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing

· Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance

· Knowledge of machines and tools

Knowledge of engineering and technology principles and practices

Experience

• Experience as a Plant Operator or similar role is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with industrial equipment and machinery
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• A commitment to safety and quality standards
• Willingness to learn new processes and technologies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
