Oversee scheduling, nominations, and coordination with producers and pipelines, while monitoring system performance, gas quality, and compliance.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Supervise, train and direct employees performing scheduling, nominations, and confirmation activities
- Coordinate the initiation, scheduling, reviewing, and monitoring of daily nominations to maintain pipeline integrity by minimizing Operational Balance Agreement (OBA) and shipper or customer imbalances
- Coordinate with traders regarding overall daily scheduling and balancing positions on interstate and intrastate pipelines; report problems to traders regarding flow of gas
- Interact with gas control representatives, customers, operators, producers, pipeline companies, and/or others concerning nominations, allocations, billing, imbalances, daily flow, and/or operational orders
- Compile, prepare and/or verify and/or analyze information or reports including but not limited to:
- Allocations
- Balancing deliveries
- Nominations and confirmations
- Flow rates/capacity issues
- Measurement discrepancies
- Storage balances
- Electronic bulletin board communications
- Actual Usage – Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM)
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business administration, accounting, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related knowledge or experience
- Experience and thorough knowledge of nomination and scheduling of gas or NGL volumes on a pipeline system
- Experience analyzing and resolving issues and/or questions concerning scheduling, nominations, balancing, and allocations
- Experience in use and function of office equipment including mainframe applications and microcomputers and applicable software
- Experience and/or training related to:
- Gas purchase
- Gas control
- Gas accounting
- Transportation services
- Volume control
- Customer service
- Pipeline Tariffs
- NGL Distribution (as specified by position)
- Experience reading and interpreting applicable contracts, agreements, reports, statements, invoices, confirmations, correspondence, tariffs, government regulations, industry standards, electronic bulletin board communications, and company policies and procedures
- Experience composing and preparing balancing reports, volume summaries, confirmations, reports, pipeline postings, storage reports, and electronic bulletin board communications
- Experience training, directing, and/or supervising; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures
- Experience interacting, advising, and communicating effectively
- Ability to: apply basic math, algebra, and statistics
- Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information or instructions
