Senior Network Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer with project-based engineering experience to lead the network design, implementation, and documentation of our energy infrastructure projects. This is not just a security role—we need someone who can speak fluently about both network architecture and industrial control systems, develop detailed network drawings, and interface with field and software engineering teams.
What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end network design for project deployments: site layout, communication plans, IP schema, diagrams
• Collaborate across control systems, SCADA, and IT teams to ensure complete and secure connectivity
• Specify and configure routing, switching, and security hardware (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti)
• Integrate and support industrial protocols like Modbus, DNP3, and OPC-UA
• Maintain technical documentation including as-built network drawings
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures per NERC, NIST, and ISO/IEC
• Troubleshoot across hardware, software, and protocol layers in live environments
• Support field commissioning and remote access for distributed infrastructure

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field
• 6 years of hands-on network engineering experience in project-based or industrial settings
• Proven experience in project network deployments, not just operations
• Strong grasp of protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs)
• Familiarity with control systems and operational technology (OT)
• Ability to produce and read network and control architecture drawings
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Willing to travel up to 20% for site commissioning and integration

Preferred Plus

• Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, Palo Alto, CompTIA Security
• Experience with BESS, SCADA, EMS, or utility-scale infrastructure
• Background in energy, utility, or data center environments
