Lead Underwriter

The Workflow Operations Specialist plays a key role in supporting the performance and efficiency of our Auto Finance business. This position combines workforce planning, operational analysis, and business support to help ensure the right resources are in place to meet customer demand while maintaining service, quality, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, adaptable, and enjoys solving problems in a fast-paced environment.

In the Role

• Monitor business volume, staffing levels, and workflow performance to support operational efficiency.
• Develop schedules and staffing recommendations based on forecasted demand and business needs.
• Analyze performance metrics, trends, and operational data to identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
• Provide real-time guidance and recommendations to leaders to help balance service levels and productivity.
• Monitor compliance, quality, and process adherence, escalating concerns when appropriate.
• Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to support process changes, training initiatives, and business objectives.
• Prepare reports, insights, and recommendations for leadership.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support audit and compliance activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4 years of experience in auto finance, underwriting operations, workforce management, call center operations, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with workforce management, forecasting, scheduling, or operational planning.
• Experience supporting underwriting, lending, or financial services operations.
• Experience with workforce management and operational systems such as Avaya, Twilio, Topaz, Bedrock, or similar platforms.
