Responsibilities
- Safely operate a bus or van on designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, assisting with boarding and disembarking as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, conducting regular inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any necessary assistance.
- Document daily activities, including mileage, passenger counts, and any incidents or mechanical issues encountered during shifts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a safe driving record.
- Assist in the care of individuals with disabilities, demonstrating compassion and patience.
- Collaborate with team members to address any operational challenges.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class B driver’s license with with a clean driving record; experience as a bus driver or van driver is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform minor troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Ability to write clear reports regarding daily operations and incidents.
- Must be able to pass background checks and meet any additional requirements set by local transportation authorities.
