MEDICAL OFFICE AST OFF SITE- OHC Cancer Center

Oneida Health is currently looking for a full-time Medical Office Assistant. This position will provide a candidate with a wealth of experience and is designed to be both clinical and administrative. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team while providing a high level of customer service. Medical experience is a plus, but not required.

• Using a customer service attitude for all patient interactions in person and on the telephone.
• Being a keen observer while collecting and recording data about the patient.
• Addressing the needs of patients, visitors, co-workers, and the practice in a positive and timely manner.
• Demonstrating strong computer skills.
• Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients including infection prevention techniques according to hospital standards.
• Assisting providers with procedures and examinations.
• Performing treatments and procedures as directed.
• Reassuring patients about wait times and delays, while giving priority to acutely ill patients.
• Maintaining medical records accurately.
• Checking equipment and stocking supplies as needed.
• Placing supply and pharmacy orders.
• Facilitating and executing physician orders as directed.

• Certifications:
