Your key responsibilities will include:Assisting the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) with management duties and ensuring quality care.Conducting weekly Wound/Skin Rounds to monitor resident health.Facilitating effective communication among all nursing staff.Meeting the nursing and medical needs of our residents.Being available 24/7 on call for urgent needs.Coordinating and directing comprehensive nursing service planning.Maintaining a thorough understanding of nursing theory and practice.Ensuring accurate and timely completion of medical records.Assisting in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff.Overseeing daily staffing processes and infection control measures.Adapting your work schedule to meet unpredictable needs.What We’re Looking ForTo thrive in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:Current State RN license is required.A minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings.2 years of management experience is preferred.1 year of staff education experience is a plus.Excellent communication skills are a must!Demonstrated leadership skills and supervisory experience.Flexibility in your work hours is essential.About UsOneida Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, formerly known as Focus Utica for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, is a 120-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in Utica, New York.
