Position Objective:

The Project Manager-PNW will directly report to the Senior PM or Associate Director, Project Delivery. The PM position will have the overall responsibility for the execution of projects including scope completion within schedule and budget constraints, with a strong focus on safety and quality. The specific role is to build and reinforce solid team coordination with the PNW Development and Preconstruction efforts to a new market for Delivery. The role will also create and anchor for future Washington and Oregon Delivery projects which will require more team members, providing opportunity for growth as a leader in the department. Qualifying candidates will have a demonstrated track record of success in working cohesively across several project support functions including development, engineering, construction, legal, and finance to meet scheduled project completion dates.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing multiple projects with competing deadlines and The role works cohesively and collaboratively across companywide functional teams including Development, Preconstruction, Engineering, Accounting, and Legal.
  • Leading EPC procurement effort from preparation of technical exhibits to negotiations of the EPC contract and Reviewing construction requirements during the bid/proposal process and shepherd the process through order placement and executed EPC agreement. Offtake EPC contract support for ownership of the project will also be required.
  • Leading or supporting general equipment procurement in co-operation with the Supply Chain manager, including negotiating price and contract terms as needed.
  • Identifying, screening, and interviewing potential subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers per OneEnergy standards, giving special attention to safety, value, and quality.
  • Developing and executing strategy for all subcontractor and consultant procurement.
  • Ensuring OneEnergy Renewables and subcontractors' compliance with all permits and laws, and mitigation measures on the project. Maintaining high level contact with permitting officials.
  • Providing input/ insight on the permitting with focus on the construction related permits, but also providing support and guidance on non-discretionary permits.
  • Developing, maintaining, and ensuring consistent best practices for jobsite safety, quality, and subcontractor management.
  • Managing overall project budget and expenses for delivering profit margins at or above expectations. Taking full responsibility for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Ensuring compliance and implementation of safety and quality assurance plans, by all personnel, subcontractors, authorities per HSE and QAQC plan for the projects.
  • Assisting in the compliance with all interconnection agreements and power purchase agreements. Coordinating with the electrical transmission authorities and other interconnection parties and managing the execution of the work to successfully achieve interconnection with the grid and meeting the requirements of the agreements.
  • Representing OneEnergy and establishing relationships for matters related to the Project with Authorities, Regulatory Agencies, and other professional organizations in coordination with OneEnergy Renewables' Executives.
  • Engaging with the various project stakeholders as OneEnergy's primary contact for the project duration.
  • Leading weekly and/or monthly project management meetings to effectively communicate project progress and expectations to all stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
  • Providing hands-on leadership with cost estimates and delivery strategy for future projects.
  • Reporting to management regularly on the progress of the Project (Monthly Report, Weekly Updates, etc.) and inform stakeholders at the functional level.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering, construction and/or technical project management experience.
  • PMP Certification preferred, but not required.
  • Solar engineering or construction experience preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in project management in renewable energy or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.
  • A proven ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and self -starter, with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
  • Experience with Substations, Line Extensions, and Interconnection requirements.
  • Experience with EPC contracts from ground up.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities often across functional and operational lines.
  • Ability to contribute to an amicable working environment with other associates and employees.
  • A recent history of successfully building trust and respect in a symbiotic relationship.
  • Advanced knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of time management and organizational skills resulting in the ability to prioritize/manage multiple projects at various stages of delivery.
  • Must possess strong quantitative analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and stress while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.
  • Must have excellent PC computer skills and familiarity with MS Office and Windows, as well as project scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Must have a "roll up your sleeves and let's get the job done right" type attitude.
  • A willingness to contribute to our culture which thrives on building trust and holding one another accountable.
  • Demonstrated qualities of integrity, credibility, and professional responsibility.
  • Ability to travel and access sites of varying Position requires frequent travel, up to 1-2 weeks per month or about 20% of working time; must carry an active driver's license with acceptable driving record.
