Job Description: Die Casting Production LeadPosition SummaryThe Die Casting Production Lead is responsible for supervising daily die-casting operations, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality. This role coordinates operators, manages workflow, troubleshoots process issues, and supports continuous improvement activities within the die-casting department.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Process ManagementOversee day-to-day die-casting machine operations and ensure adherence to production schedules.Monitor machine parameters, metal temperatures, cycle times, and part quality.Ensure molds/dies are prepared, installed, and maintained correctly.Adjust machine settings to optimize productivity and reduce scrap.Coordinate with maintenance to schedule machine repairs and preventive maintenance.Leadership & Team CoordinationLead, guide, and support die-casting operators and technicians.Assign tasks, manage shift activities, and ensure proper shift handovers.Train new employees on safety, machine operation, and quality requirements.Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.Quality ControlConduct routine inspections of cast parts to ensure quality standards are met.Address defects such as porosity, flash, misruns, and dimensional issues.Work closely with quality engineers to implement corrective actions.Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.Safety & ComplianceEnforce safety procedures related to molten metal handling and machine operation.Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment.Continuous ImprovementParticipate in and lead initiatives to improve process efficiency and reduce waste.Support lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen activities.Analyze production data to recommend improvements.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or technical certificate (engineering or manufacturing preferred).3–5 years of die-casting production experience.Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is an advantage.SkillsStrong understanding of die-casting processes (hot-chamber and/or cold-chamber).Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances.Troubleshooting skills for machines, dies, and material issues.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for long periods.Ability to work in high-temperature environments.Must be able to lift up to 25–30 kg as requiredCompany DescriptionOneCruit is a disruptive multi-state human capital business.
