AI/ML Technical Lead | About You
As an AI/ML Technical Lead, you are responsible for technical direction, solution design, and execution leadership for complex, data and AI‑driven initiatives. You are deeply comfortable in the technical details, guiding architecture decisions, reviewing designs, and unblocking teams through hands‑on problem solving, while also keeping delivery aligned to business outcomes. You serve as a technical authority and mentor, partnering closely with data engineers, ML engineers, and architects to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and production‑ready. You thrive in Agile environments but lead primarily through technical influence rather than project administration. You are passionate about modern engineering practices, AI‑assisted development, and creative approaches like vibe coding to accelerate experimentation, prototyping, and innovation.
AI/ML Technical Lead | Day-to-Day
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for AI/ML and data engineering solutions from design through production deployment.
- Collaborate hands‑on with data engineers and ML engineers to refine requirements, review designs, and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Drive technical decision‑making around data pipelines, model integration, scalability, and performance.
- Mentor and coach engineers on best practices in AI/ML development, data engineering, and Agile delivery.
- Partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions and implementation strategies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies with a focus on technical execution, risk identification, and delivery quality, rather than administrative tracking.
- Leverage AI‑driven tools, automation, and vibe coding sessions to accelerate development, experimentation, and innovation.
AI/ML Technical Lead | Skills & Experience
- 7 years of experience in technical leadership roles delivering complex data, analytics, or AI/ML solutions in production environments.
- Strong, practical knowledge of data engineering and AI/ML concepts, including model lifecycles, feature engineering, and deployment considerations.
- Proven ability to lead technical design and architecture discussions, balancing short‑term delivery with long‑term scalability and maintainability.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, relational databases, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience guiding teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies, with an emphasis on engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Experience leading or contributing to implementations of platforms such as Snowflake, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar analytics ecosystems is preferred.
- Exposure to AI‑assisted development, automation tools, or rapid prototyping techniques (e.g., vibe coding) is a strong plus.
