What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Lines Underwriter position at One80 Intermediaries?
We’re seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter to develop and maintain sales representative, agent, and broker relationships. The Access One80 team intakes submissions from every state from over 21,000 retail agencies via a class leading portal. This position is a hybrid role based out of Colorado Springs, CO and will help our distribution partners place Excess and Surplus policies for a wide variety of classes.
Your Impact:
- Ensures all submissions are effectively managed to reach decline or quoting status within a defined service level agreement.
- Necessary interaction with carriers and producers to gather needed information in an organized manner. Determines the pricing, coverages and exclusions for each submission.
- Responsible for reviewing and responding to back-end underwriting reviews and new business audits. Documents underwriting decisions within standards and expectations
- Provides reports necessary to perform underwriting analysis
- Follows up on open quotes
- Policy Servicing
Successful Candidates Will Have:
- 3-5 years of personal lines insurance underwriting experience required. 1-2 years of wholesale distribution experience strongly preferred.
- Must possess the ability to appropriately apply loss development and advanced loss analysis concepts to achieve optimal pricing of a risk and creatively utilize coverage features, deductibles, or reinsurance on individual risks to achieve company objectives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook and Excel required.
