Role Description
This is an on-site role for a Dispatcher located in Lincoln, AL. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the scheduling of shipments, communicating with drivers and customers to ensure timely delivery, and solving transportation-related challenges. Other responsibilities may include optimizing routes, tracking shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational policies.
Qualifications
- Proficient in logistics coordination, routing, and scheduling
- Strong communication skills for effective liaison with drivers, customers, and team members
- Organized and detail-oriented with experience in maintaining accurate documentation
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems and other relevant software
- Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment and make timely decisions
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements in transportation and logistics
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in logistics is a plus
- Prior experience in dispatching or transportation operations is preferred
