Duties
- Repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as MIG welding and soldering techniques
- Perform auto painting and auto glass replacement to ensure seamless finishes and safety standards are met
- Fabricate sheet metal parts and perform auto restoration projects with precision and attention to detail
- Use auto estimating skills to assess damages accurately and determine necessary repairs
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks including mechanical repairs, assembly, and detailing to prepare vehicles for delivery
- Operate airless paint spraying equipment for efficient application of paint and coatings
- Assist with auto body assembly, heavy lifting, and the use of welding techniques to restore structural integrity
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair preferred
- Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and sheet metal work
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and auto repair equipment
- Experience with auto painting, auto restoration, auto glass installation, and auto estimating software is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair processes
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism
- Mechanic experience or automotive repair background is a plus
- Valid auto painting, or auto body repair are advantageous
