One Tech Engineering is searching for an Electrical Engineer for a position located in Denver, Colorado. The Electrical Engineer will support day-to-day maintenance and equipment replacement activities at substations

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of related experience.

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:


  • Lead like-for-like replacements and upgrades of substation equipment (e.g., breakers, switches, transformers, relays, bushings, arresters).
  • Perform troubleshooting and resolve equipment and system issues.
  • Initiate and manage small to mid-sized substation projects.
  • Order and track materials required for maintenance and replacement work.
  • Develop and adjust designs as needed for brownfield environments.
  • Coordinate with construction teams to execute projects safely and efficiently.
  • Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of work.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including construction and substation maintenance teams.
  • Prepare and deliver scoped work packages and materials requisitions.
  • Oversee field coordination and ensure successful completion of replacement and maintenance activities.


Requirements of the Electrical Engineer:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of substation equipment and troubleshooting experience, or strong willingness to work in the field.
  • Familiarity with brownfield replacement and maintenance workflows.
  • Experience with stakeholder coordination, project initiation, and materials ordering.
  • Previous substation engineering design experience preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, ProjectWise, and basic PLC/logic programming is a plus (not required).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Salary : $130,000 - $139,000
