One Tech Engineering is searching for a Bilingual Project Assistant for a position located in Battle Creek, Michigan. The Bilingual Project Assistant will provide administrative support for department management to ensure continuity of daily department functions and operations by collaborating to provide and present department information. Additionally, will support the orientation paperwork for the Spanish speakers, assisting with day to day Spanish speaking with crew members, and translating documents/paperwork as needed.
The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have a minimum of two years' experience in an administrative or coordinator function, preferably in a construction environment and preferably, is bilingual.
Local candidates preferred or open to relocation. This is not a remote position.
Project Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist with time entry for field craft payroll weekly.
- Assist with verifying time entered into jobsite badging system and advise on corrections as needed.
- Assist with submitting and obtaining craft correction paychecks.
- Assist with data entry into jobsites IRA tracking log.
- Assist with adding apprentice information in Baker Tilly database
- Assist with new hire paperwork and ensure accuracy and completion prior to sending to payroll.
- Assist with general document control processes.
- Assist with UPS/FedEx deliveries at the office and ensure they get to the shipper.
- Assist with managing the office supplies and order as needed.
- Assist with miscellaneous event and training set up.
Requirements of the Project Assistant:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of two years' experience in an administrative or coordinator function, preferably in a construction environment.
- Possess exceptional organizational, communication (written and oral) and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Present self with a professional, mature, and positive demeanor.
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities.
- Bilingual in Spanish
