Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join the healthcare team at a secure federal clinical facility in Loretto, PA. In this role, you will perform blood collections, process specimens, and support patient care while following strict safety, security, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for routine and urgent testing
• Accurately identify patients and label specimens at the time of collection
• Follow infection control, safety, and chain-of-custody protocols
• Provide mobile phlebotomy services across clinical areas as needed
• Process, prepare, and store specimens according to established guidelines
• Document all collection and processing activities in the electronic medical record
• Communicate with clinical staff regarding specimen status and recollection needs
• Maintain supplies and work area cleanliness, and assist with basic clinical support tasks

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
• National certification as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of safety, privacy, and infection control standards
