What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Document Process Server (FT) position at One Stop Legal Center?
Qualifications:
- Must Be Certified Process Server (Certified and Bonded)
- Must have your own reliable transportation.
- Valid driver's license and insurance.
- Tech savvy - iPhone/iPad or Android smart device and ability to work within a mobile app.
- Ability to scan and print documents.
- Ability to work variable hours - Early mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Experience in process serving or related work is helpful, but not required.
- This is a Remote or work from home Job. Candidates can be anywhere in the state of California.
Responsibilities:
- Be pleasant and personable with the people you meet and to whom you deliver documents.
- Serve legal documents to residences and corporations according to Federal, State and Local laws.
- File and record legal documents at the courthouse, recorder's office and/or sheriff's office.
- Scan completed documents weekly.
- Provide status and photos for each attempt on all cases through smart phone apps.
- Edit/print proof of service from our process server case management software.
- Request copies of legal documents from court.
