What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Safety Instructor position at One Stop Aquatic Safety LLC?
Perform lifeguard surveillance of the pool area. Provide services for large groups, including children, monitoring both visually and audibly to insure safety, facility rules and health standard, teach students the fundamentals of swimming. Swim Instructors will meet the following special qualifications: Duties include, but are not limited to, enforcing rules and regulations governing use of facilities, preventing injury or loss of life, and administering first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation as necessary. Lifeguards are responsible for assisting with routine aquatic maintenance and custodial duties and other tasks as assigned by supervisors. Work schedules will vary.
Water safety instructor requirements:
- Needs to have American Red Cross Swim instructor certification.
- 1 year of experience of teaching water safety instructor (preferred)
- Comfortable working with children of all ages
- Able to manage large group of children
- Experience with summer camps (preferred)
- Able to work independently
- Swimming background
