We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR).

The SDR is the person responsible for making first contact with our potential clients. He or she must have the knack of being able to get the right people on the phone, love talking to people, and enlighten them on the benefits of our products and services. Great phone personality is a must; this is not a sales position in a traditional sense, but the beginning of a relationship between the prospective client and One Step Secure IT.

The SDR will create qualified appointments that result in a First Time Appointment (FTA) for the sales department. Another function of this position is to keep the database clean and up-to-date so that our marketing efforts are effective, allowing us a better return on investment from our marketing dollars.

What You'll Do

1. Make 100 calls per day

2. Create Marketing Qualified Leads that result in First Time Appointments

3. Schedule First Time Appointments

4. Cold call (generate new suspects and prospects) from company-provided lists and/or other sources

5. Educate prospective companies about the benefits of our retail technology solutions

6. Capture discovery and detailed contact information and enter into HubSpot

7. Assist the VP Managed IT Services with special projects related to generating sales

What You'll Need to Have

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Able to understand and communicate ideas well
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Technically inclined and computer savvy and ability to learn quickly
  • Self-motivated and high energy
  • Team player
  • Personable enough to build rapport with prospective clients during the first phone call so that even if a prospective client is not interested he/she will still accept follow-up calls in the future
  • Ability to get through the “Gate-Keeper” and reach C-level Executives
  • A “never-give-up” attitude and an ability to identify and develop new sales openings as well as provide meaningful and timely follow up

Compensation:

Hourly base plus bonuses for appointments set

Commission from sales resulting from appointments
