Overview
Join our dynamic logistics team as a ForkLift Driver on the 2nd Shift and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! In this energetic role, you will operate various types of material handling equipment—including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks—to efficiently load, unload, and organize inventory. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate, and timely movement of goods within our distribution center. Duties
- Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload shipments.
- Perform order picking using barcode scanning technology and manual methods to fulfill customer orders accurately.
- Manage inventory by conducting regular stock counts, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and ensuring proper storage of materials.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
- Maintain safety standards in production environments by adhering to OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols.
- Conduct equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation of all warehouse machinery.
- Support warehouse distribution efforts through heavy lifting, manual handling, and materials movement while following proper ergonomic practices.
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management procedures.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, heavy equipment operation, and warehouse distribution workflows.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while maintaining productivity standards.
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards in production environments and adherence to forklift safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail for order picking accuracy and inventory control.
- Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and verifying shipment quantities.
