About the role
From the morning production huddle to the last line audit of the day, you’ll be the steady hand keeping our food manufacturing floor running smoothly. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll make quick, informed decisions, communicate clearly, and organize work so teams hit targets without sacrificing safety or quality.
What a day looks like- Own the daily schedule and prioritize work so production stays on plan and on time.
- Track line performance and product quality in real time; course-correct when needed.
- Build weekly labor schedules and align people to projects for peak efficiency.
- Coach, support, and recognize team members to foster a positive work experience.
- Identify skill gaps and arrange training to boost capability and confidence.
- Introduce process improvements that reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Champion a safe workplace; help shape and uphold plant safety programs.
- Verify product meets customer specifications while meeting fulfillment commitments.
- Partner with Maintenance to plan service/repairs and minimize downtime.
- Participate in performance reviews and provide actionable feedback.
- Lead with compliance: follow and enforce GMP, personal hygiene standards, and HACCP controls; complete line and GMP audits with full documentation.
- Ensure all food safety, employee safety, and quality policies are consistently applied.
- Pitch in on additional tasks as business needs evolve.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- 2–5 years leading teams in a production setting; food manufacturing experience preferred. Ingredient blending exposure is a plus.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ADP experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience using an ERP system.
- Excellent English communication skills; Spanish bilingual ability is a plus and valued on our multilingual teams.
- Strong collaborator across functions; clear and timely communicator.
- Organized, able to prioritize, and adaptable when timelines shift.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently.
