What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at ONE SOURCE MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY?
Principal Duties and Responsibilities*:
- Responsible for daily shipment of product and documentation of shipments.
- Works closely with Customer Service representatives to ensure shipments meet customers' ever-changing priorities.
- Counts product, transacts order in ERP system, and prepares shipping documents.
- Maintains inventory of components and issues them to work orders.
- Selects appropriate packaging to ensure product is received with no damage.
- Assembles boxes, foam and other packaging materials.
- Prints and affixes labels to product.
- Maintains inventory of packaging and shipping supplies such as labels, trays and boxes.
- Keeps Shipping area clean and organized. Identifies opportunities for improving Shipping processes.
- Assists in other areas as assigned e.g. Receiving, Lapping, Clean Room etc.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses equipment such as computers, phones, packaging & kraft tape dispensers, and label printers. Shipping Clerk will need to occasionally lift and carry 60 pounds. May operate fork truck and/or pallet jack. Infrequent travel (<5%) is expected.

Qualifications:Knowledge/Skills:
- Computer skills (Excel, Labeling Software, Outlook, ERP System)
- Knowledge of shipping programs by UPS/FED EX etc.
- Good written and verbal communication

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of shipping experience preferred
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 Quality System is preferred.
International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR):
- Must be either; US Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
