Responsibilities
- Ensure that One Ship Coffee provides the best coffee hospitality humanly possible every day.
- Manage day-to-day operations at the shop, including opening, closing, scheduling, inventory, and maintenance.
- Work daily in a barista shift and make connections with customers
- Monitor for quality and ensure our product is top-notch
- Lead staff training and development to uphold excellent customer service standards and food safety protocols
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
- Supervise food preparation, cooking, and beverage crafting to maintain quality and consistency
- Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff coverage and supervising team performance
- Implement food safety procedures in compliance with health regulations and industry best practices
- Conduct staff interviews, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training to build a motivated team
- Monitor budget adherence, control costs, and optimize operational efficiency
- Foster a positive hospitality environment that emphasizes exceptional customer service and teamwork
Requirements
- Reliability, humility, diligence, and personability.
- At least 1-2 years experience in a leadership position
- Background in food preparation, cooking, and beverage service, preferably with barista or coffee experience
- Experience managing staff training programs, supervising teams, and conducting interviews
- Knowledge of food industry regulations related to health & safety standards in casual dining or quick service environments
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent leadership skills with a passion for hospitality management and customer satisfaction

Founded in 2025, One Ship Coffee is Lima's specialty coffee HQ dedicated to providing a place of fellowship and human connection around delicious coffee and food.
We sell a variety of specialty coffee beverages and other beverages as well as breakfast and lunch foods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.75 - $20.67 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

-Standard weeks are Mon-Fri or Tues-Sat
-Most shifts will start early morning (6:15am)
-There will be some later shifts (10:30am-6:30pm) and
-There will also be some Saturday shifts (about 2-3/month.)
