We are seeking a dependable and adaptable Junior Operations Manager to support our expanding operations. This is a hands-on leadership development position for someone who is interested in learning how a growing security company operates while gaining experience across a wide range of client sites and assignments.
Position Overview
The Junior Operations Manager will primarily work field-based security assignments throughout Oregon. The position will help fill scheduling gaps, support new contract launches, cover employee absences, and provide assistance when operational needs change.
This is not a position with a fixed weekly schedule. The selected employee must be willing to work a flexible combination of daytime, evening, and overnight shifts. Assignments may include both armed and unarmed security work. Regular statewide travel is required, and qualifying business travel expenses will be paid by the company.
Over time, the selected employee will receive additional training and experience in scheduling, report review, fleet management, equipment tracking, employee support, and client service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work armed and unarmed security shifts throughout Oregon as needed.
- Provide temporary coverage for employee absences, schedule changes, and new client contracts.
- Support client sites during periods of increased operational need.
- Represent One Security professionally when working with clients, employees, and members of the public.
- Apply trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques when responding to difficult situations.
- Assist with employee scheduling and staffing coordination.
- Review security reports for completeness, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Help track company vehicles, uniforms, equipment, and operational supplies.
- Assist with company procedures, administrative tasks, and special projects.
- Develop the skills needed to take on additional operational leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including daytime, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
- Willingness to travel throughout Oregon regularly.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Oregon armed and unarmed private security certifications (certifications paid by company).
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Dependable, professional, and comfortable adapting to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and good judgment.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace products.
- Previous experience in security, customer service, military service, law enforcement, social services, or operations is preferred but not required.
