Studio Art Teacher (Part-Time)

$25–$35 per hour

At One River School, we believe children and adults are capable of real artistic thinking. We’re looking for practicing artists and passionate educators who want to introduce young creators (Grades K-12) and adults to contemporary art in ways that feel exciting, meaningful, and wildly engaging.

Lead dynamic, hands-on weekly art classes for students (Weekday Afternoons and Evenings, Saturdays and Sundays)
Explore contemporary approaches across painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, mixed media, and 3D work
Encourage experimentation, creative risk-taking, and big imaginative thinking
Create “WOW moments” that build confidence and artistic voice
Connect thoughtfully with families about student growth and creative breakthroughs

This isn’t craft-time. It’s real art—made accessible, joyful, and inspiring.

Studio Energy
Teach in a beautiful, contemporary space with an in-house gallery showcasing student work and emerging artists.

Flexible Schedule for Creative Lives
Evenings and weekends (Saturday/Sunday). Later start times leave your mornings open for studio practice or other creative pursuits.

A practicing or highly engaged artist with at least 1 year of teaching experience
Confident working across multiple mediums

Education:
BFA or BS in Art Education required
MFA or Master’s in Art Education is a plus
