Art Education Coordinator/Instructor - Full-time

What you’ll do:

• Teach Art and Digital Design Classes: Teach weekly art and / or digital art classes and summer camps for a variety of ages and media
• Ensure Student Success: Ensure student success in the studio and lab by actively engaging with students and teachers to observe, document and communicate their progress and opportunities for growth
• Provide Hospitality Service & Communication: Conduct proactive check-ins with parents, students and families, support makeup scheduling, discuss student progress and opportunities for growth, upsells to additional classes / camps.
• Implement One River Methodology Curriculum: Ensure teachers have lesson plans/resources on time and implement the One River Method through each class effectively and contribute to lesson plan development regularly
• Run a best-in-class studio: Order and Re-stock art supplies, Clean and organize studio spaces and student artwork and oversee digital lab maintenance
• Student Exhibitions: Collect, Curate and Install school & community exhibitions; plan and prompt the opening receptions for Student Shows and support parties and special events.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Visual Art, Art Education or Design (Master’s a plus) or equivalent professional experience
• 3 years experience teaching visual arts for K–12 and/or adults. Digital art skills in Adobe Creative Suite and animation software.
• Track record of high-quality instruction, classroom management, and student progress.
• Clear communicator, organized, and energized by a busy studio environment
• Passion for art history, contemporary art and a “students-first” mindset

Schedule & Compensation:

• This is a Full time Position, 40 hours a week that includes 2 evenings a week and either Saturday or Sunday
• Salary: $56,000–$65,000 base quarterly bonus eligibility
